A Plan for More Clients, and a Business Built Around You

Read the Proposal

What You Told Me

You've built a business on 15 years of word of mouth, and it shows: great clients, a great reputation, a diary that ticks over. What's been left behind is everything online. The website hasn't changed in years, Facebook last heard from you in 2021, the client records are on paper, and nobody looking you up would know who Mandy is.

You want:

  • More clients, within the three days a week you work, without hiring or moving.
  • To be the face of the business, so people know who they're coming to see.
  • To be visible, on Google, on social media, and in the AI assistants people now ask for advice.
  • Something tangible. A business with systems, a client list and a presence that would mean something to a buyer, or to someone running it for you one day.
  • Someone to keep you moving. Your words: a kick up the butt. You don't want to be overwhelmed, so we take one thing at a time.

What I Found

Before writing this I checked where you stand today:

  • Crawled every page of your website (214 addresses in all) with Screaming Frog, the tool SEO specialists use to audit sites.
  • Checked where you appear on Google Maps from six nearby towns.
  • Pulled how many people in the UK search for your services each month.
  • Asked ChatGPT to recommend a colonic hydrotherapist near each of those six towns.

Some of it is very good news.

You're Already Winning Locally

  • Search "colonic hydrotherapy" on Google Maps from Bexley, Sidcup, Dartford or Eltham and you're the first result. The same goes for "colonic irrigation".
  • 31 Google reviews, every one of them five stars.
  • ChatGPT already recommends you. It named you for four of the six towns, more than any other clinic. For Bexley you were its first suggestion, and it quoted your prices.
  • Your Google listing already has a "Book online" button linked to Ovatu.

So this isn't starting from nothing. The reputation is there. It just isn't being shown off.

Where You're Missing Out

  • Further afield. From Bromley you drop to sixth on Google Maps. From Orpington you don't appear at all.
  • Your other services are almost invisible. You don't show up on Google Maps for "food intolerance test" at all, and you're second for "nutritionist" in Bexley.
  • There's no Mandy on the website. No photo of you, no story, nothing about who you'll meet. For a treatment where most people are nervous first time (nearly every one of your testimonials says so), that matters.
  • Your Google listing is incomplete. No description and five photos. It also lists Monday and Tuesday as 8:30am to 6pm and Thursday until 8pm, while Ovatu says 10am to 7:30pm.

What the Website Audit Found

  • Fix: holding the site back
  • Improve: room to do better
  • Good: fine as it is
  • Broken linksFix

94 links lead to pages that don't exist. Every blog post has two

  • Pages Google can seeFix

59, but 44 of them have fewer than 100 words. Most are leftover image and archive pages, not real content

  • Pages with real contentImprove

15, including the privacy and cookie policies

  • HomepageImprove

286 words. More about you and your treatments would help people and Google

  • BlogFix

6 posts, 65 to 69 words each, from around 2018

  • Page titlesImprove

Every page has one and none are repeated, but 23 are too long and get cut off in Google

  • Missing page descriptionsFix

41 of 59 pages have no description for Google to show in results

  • Missing main headingsImprove

23 of 59 pages have no main heading, which Google uses to understand a page

  • RedirectsImprove

11 links point to an old address and are sent on to the new one

  • Image descriptionsGood

All 22 images have one, which helps screen readers and Google

  • Secure connectionGood

Every page loads over HTTPS, with nothing insecure mixed in

  • ContactFix

One form, at the very bottom of the page. The phone number on the Consultant page has an extra digit

  • Photos of youFix

None. There is one in the site's files, but it isn't used anywhere

How Your Website Performs on a Phone

I ran Google's Lighthouse test on your homepage three times, loading it the way a phone on a 4G connection would. These are the middle results.

* What SEO 100 means. Your homepage's technical set-up passes every check in Google's test: it has a title and a description, Google can follow its links, and so on. The test only looks at the homepage, and it says nothing about whether the content is good enough to rank. That's what the rest of this section is about: thin pages, a blog last updated around 2018, and no page for most of the areas you serve.

The 74 for accessibility comes from text colours that are hard to read, links without names and headings out of order. Your website's security settings blocked the desktop version of the test, so these are phone results, which is the version Google uses to rank sites.

What People Are Searching For

UK searches a month, from Google's own data.

colonic hydrotherapy near me*14,800
food intolerance test14,800
colonic hydrotherapy4,400
nutritionist near me2,900
colonic hydrotherapy london1,900
food intolerance test near me880

* And close variations, such as "colonic near me" and "colonic irrigation near me".

"Near me" searches are decided on Google Maps, where you already lead in Bexley. The gaps are the wider area and your food intolerance and nutrition work, which together draw as many searches as colonics.

How You Compare Locally

These are the clinics that show up on Google Maps for "colonic hydrotherapy" across Bexley, Sidcup, Dartford, Eltham, Bromley and Orpington. All figures are taken from Google on the same day.

Beckenham Therapy Rooms offers many therapies, so its reviews cover all of them, not just colonics. For ChatGPT, I asked the same question for each town ("Can you recommend a colonic hydrotherapist near Sidcup?" and so on), once each. Its answers vary from one day to the next, so treat that column as a snapshot.

Where each clinic appears on Google Maps for "colonic hydrotherapy", searched from each town ("–" means it isn't listed):

Bexleyheath Natural Health Clinic2nd2nd–3rd––
Pauline Richardson, Bromley–––8th1st–

What this tells us. You lead on rating, on ChatGPT and on Maps in your own area, and you're one of only two of these clinics people can book with straight from Google. Where you trail is the size of your Google profile: fewer reviews and photos than the bigger clinics, and no description. Those are the parts we can change. ChatGPT also missed you for Sidcup, even though you're first on Maps there, which is the kind of gap clearer information on your website helps close. Reviews and photos are both in the plan from month one.

Two Things to Be Careful With

Health claims. Some of the current wording, such as describing "dramatic relief" from IBS, bloating and Candida, is the kind of claim the Advertising Standards Authority has ruled against when other colonic and food intolerance clinics made it. ChatGPT now repeats that wording when it recommends you. Everything I write for you (the website, blog posts, emails and any future ads) will follow the advertising rules for health claims. It protects you, and the copy is still persuasive.

Your client records. Those paper forms are health records, which carry stricter data protection rules. The clients who ticked the box to hear from you (roughly the last two years of forms) can go on an email list. The older ones can't be sent marketing emails, even if they know you well. That still leaves a valuable list, and Ovatu probably already holds most of their email addresses.

A Thought on Timing

Searches pick up again in January after a quiet December. Across the UK last winter, "colonic hydrotherapy near me" went from 12,100 searches in December to 14,800 in January, and "food intolerance test" from 14,800 to 18,100. If we start before Christmas, the new website and a New Year email to your past clients could both be ready for it. There's no pressure, but it would give the work a strong first month to show for itself.

September 2025 to August 2026. All six searches rose from December to January. Most are lower over the summer than the rest of the year.

The Plan

One thing at a time, in this order.

  1. Month one

    Quick Wins

Things that make a difference in weeks, mostly using tools you already pay for.

    • Turn on what Ovatu already does. You mentioned you aren't using it fully. Depending on your plan, it can send every client a review request after their appointment, remind people when they're due to rebook, and replace your paper intake forms with online ones that clients fill in before they arrive. If your plan doesn't include one of these, I can run it for you instead, so you don't pay for another service.
    • Fix your Google listing. Add a description, opening hours that match Ovatu, and proper photos.
    • Take a starting measurement. How full your three days are, what an average client spends, how often people come back, and how many people find you on Google. Every month after that, you get a one-page report against those numbers, so you can see whether this is working without taking my word for it.
    • A visit to the clinic. I come to you to take photos of you and the clinic, and film some short video if you're comfortable. If not, I'll talk you through how to film yourself on your phone. Everything we capture goes on the website, Google and social media.
  2. Months one and two

    The New Website

The website is the face of the business, so it comes first.

    • You, up front. Your photo, your story, your qualifications and the professional bodies you belong to, so people know who they'll meet.
    • A page explaining what happens at a first appointment, plus an FAQ, written to settle nerves.
    • A page for each service: colonic hydrotherapy, food intolerance testing, nutrition and the 9-day cleanse.
    • Pages for the areas you serve: Bromley, Sidcup, Dartford, Eltham, Orpington and others, so people searching from further away find you.
    • Easy ways to get in touch. "Book now" for people who are ready, and "ask a question" or "request a call" for people who aren't.
    • Online booking through Ovatu, as now.
    • Instant enquiry alerts. When someone gets in touch through the site, you hear about it straight away, in whichever way suits you: an email, a Telegram or WhatsApp message, a text, or even a phone call telling you an enquiry is waiting. The sooner you reply, the more likely they are to book. Texts and calls carry a small running cost.
    • Built for Google and the AI assistants, so they can read your services, prices, area and reviews correctly.
    • An admin panel so you can change prices, add a blog post or update opening hours yourself whenever you like.

Before launch I'll move your email and your domain name into accounts in your name, so nothing breaks during the switch and you own everything. Your domain name is due for renewal on 25 January 2027, so that move happens well before then.

  3. Month three

Your Client List and First Emails

    • Your client list goes online. Clients with consent are moved from paper and Ovatu into one email list.
    • A first email to past clients, timed to the season. If we're near January, a New Year one around your cleanse programmes.
    • Review requests running on every appointment.
  4. Month four onwards

    Staying Visible

    • One article a month, without you writing it. You record a voice note on your phone about a topic, for 10 minutes or so. I turn it into a blog post and an email, and you approve it before it goes out.
    • Short videos. Start with the easiest one: you walking someone through the clinic and what happens in a session. You talk, I edit.
    • Social media. Your Facebook page brought back to life, and an Instagram account started, posting your articles, videos and reviews. Your articles can go on your personal LinkedIn too, if you'd like.
    • Further steps as they make sense. A refer-a-friend offer, a regular-visit package for clients who come back every few weeks, links with local gyms and trainers, and later, if you want even more clients, paid ads.

How Your Homepage Could Look

A first sketch, to show the idea: you up front, a clear way to book or ask a question, and each treatment explained. It keeps your greens, freshened up.

What I Can't Promise

Google Maps decides rankings largely on how close the searcher is to you. The area pages will help you show up in normal Google search results for Bromley and Orpington, but I can't promise you'll top the Maps results there the way you do in Bexley. I'd rather tell you that now.

Case study · a website we look after

What Happened When We Moved a Website Off WordPress

Your website runs on WordPress. We moved a website we look after from WordPress to the same setup I'd build yours on, and relaunched it on 16 July 2026. Google search clicks went from 64 on 15 July to 238 on 17 July. Three months on, it's still getting more than six times the clicks it did before.

0 → 0

Google clicks: the 28 days before the relaunch, and the latest 28 days

6.3×

as many clicks now as before the relaunch

Daily Google search clicks

The rise came from the new setup and the new content added at the relaunch, together. Your new website would follow the same approach, with far more about your treatments, the areas you serve and you than the 15 pages it has now. Your market is local and smaller, so I won't promise the same numbers, but the approach is the same.

Six-month minimum, then rolling monthly. You can stop with a month's notice after that.

What's included

  • The new websiteDesigned, built and launched, included in the monthly fee
  • Hosting and maintenanceHosting, security, backups and updates, included
  • Google and AI visibilityYour Google listing, area pages and ongoing search work
  • Ovatu reviewA review of how Ovatu is configured. I switch on review requests, rebooking reminders and online forms, or run them for you if your plan doesn't include them
  • Email marketingYour client list set up, a first seasonal email, then one a month
  • Monthly contentOne article a month from your voice notes, plus video editing
  • Social mediaFacebook brought back to life, Instagram started, both kept up
  • Clinic visitPhotos, and video if you're comfortable, or guidance on filming yourself
  • Monthly report and callA one-page report against your starting numbers, and a short call to agree the next priority
  • WhatsApp supportQuick fixes, questions and advice by WhatsApp

That's around 12 hours of my time a month, with more at the start while the website is built.

Why Six Months, When We Talked About Three

On the call I said three months. Having worked through the plan, I'm asking for six, for two reasons.

  • The website is built up front and included in the fee. Six months comes to £3,600, less than half what the site alone would cost as a one-off project (see below).
  • The results come after the website goes live. Reviews build up, the new pages start to show in Google and the first emails go out in months three and four. A three-month agreement would end just as that starts, before either of us could judge it fairly.

After six months it rolls monthly, and you can stop whenever you like.

How It Compares

If you'd rather not commit to a monthly fee, I can build the website as a separate project and do everything else by the hour. Here's the same six months both ways.

Monthly plan, six months£0
Pay as you go, six months£0
Over six monthsMonthly planPay as you go
New websiteIncluded£7,500 (my most recent comparable build)
The rest of the work, about 12 hours a monthIncluded£5,040 (12 hours at £70, for six months)
Hosting and maintenanceIncluded£250
Total£3,600£12,790

That's a saving of £9,190 over the first six months. Both options are open to you.

If You Stop

The website stays yours, on hosting and maintenance at £500 a year, paid monthly. That covers the normal traffic of a clinic website. If the site ever grew to very high traffic, around 100,000 visitors a month, we'd look at the hosting cost again. Everything else built along the way stays with you too: the client list, the Ovatu changes, the content.

Costs You'd Pay Directly

  • Business email (Google Workspace or Microsoft 365): about £5 to £6 a month.
  • Your domain name: about £15 to £20 a year, as now.
  • Ovatu: your current plan. Some features, such as text messages, may cost extra.

What I'll Need From You

  • Access to your domain name, Ovatu and your Google listing.
  • A clinic visit for photos and video, about two hours.
  • A voice note once a month, about ten minutes.
  • A quick read and sign-off before anything is published.

That's it. The rest is on me.

Who You'll Work With

I'm Alex Andrews, and I run Launchfyi. I build websites, and the systems behind them, for small businesses that would rather spend their time on their clients than on their marketing.

You'll deal with me directly. I build your website, edit your videos, write up your voice notes and answer your WhatsApps. Nobody passes you between departments, and nothing goes out without your say-so.

Next Steps

  1. 1Have a read and note anything that's missing or wrong.
  2. 2Our call on Wednesday 28 October to talk it through. A few things I'd like to ask you then:Do you still offer lymphatic drainage?Your website has a page offering freelance work on health retreats. Do you still want that on the new site?Which areas do your clients travel from most?
  3. 3If you're happy, we agree a start date that suits you.

Any questions before then, just drop me a message.
